To ease your exam woes, I'm going to be running revision sessions open to everyone taking the MS4. It doesn't matter if you're not in my classes, please feel free to come along.
I propose to run the sessions on Tuesday lunchtimes in 226 from next week (28/04/14) until half term where I will be running extra sessions (watch this space!)
Bring your lunch! Tuesdays in 226 1.30pm - 2.00pm.

Easter Assignments for Louise's Blocks A&G

1. Textual Analysis: Complete the chart on page 8. Use youtube to view a selection of trailers and promos for the 3 case studies (3 hrs)
2. Website Research: Complete page 9 (2hrs)
3. Exam Planning: Complete the planning task on page 10.
4. Exam Practice: (Mock Question) Using the TV case studies, choose one question from page 11, you should aim to spend 45 minutes writing your answer.
5. You must provide evidence that you have completed tasks 1-3. Once you have completed your research and written your mock answer you must write up your notes for tasks 1-3 in an illustrated report. You may use bullet points and screen shots as long as they are properly annotated with analytical comments (2000 words).
The work must be word processed. You may email me the work if you are unable to print off before the deadline l.kingston@worthing.ac.uk.

The final deadline is now less than a week away. Please read the following information carefully before next week.

- 1 Plastic A4 Display Book: Please use dividers to label each section of your fold clearly. e.g. PRE-PRODUCTION, PRODUCTION, REPORT.
- (Video Groups) Blank DVDs - 1 per person. Ask Jim for assistance with rendering (this will take ages!!) and burning your video to DVD. DVDs must be playable on any device - if it doesn't play the exam board will fail you!.
- Printing: Please print all work in full colour. Colour printing is available in the Library, Shop or alternatively speak to Keith about printing your work on A4 Matte Photo paper. You will need to pay for the printing costs

Half Term Assignments!
The coursework deadline is now less than a month away!! :o
You need to complete the following work over half term. Anyone falling behind or in need of extra support will be expected to attend extra sessions after half term to complete the coursework unit. Karl and I will discuss this with you in person.
Tasks to be completed over Half Term
1. Please take a few minutes to complete the Curriculum Survey: You can access this via http://students/SitePages/home.aspx using PCs, Laptops or your mobile.
Whilst your feedback is anonymous we will know who hasn't completed this survey, please can you do this ASAP as we need a 100% completion rate and your feedback is vital to us in helping you get the best out of the course.
2. Complete the first draft of the Report/Evaluation Parts one and two. Use the guidance provided on the blog to help you. 3. Watch at least one episode of Breaking Bad, The Big Bang Theory and Doctor Who (preferably the 50th Anniversary Episode - go to http://worthingcollegea2media.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/dr-who-day-of-doctor-tv-case-study-1.html) and make detailed notes on Genre, Narrative and Representation. Please bring these to the first class after half term as you will need your notes in class.
